The first VTEC engine. Note: All Honda Motor B16A engines are stamped 'B16A' (with no number after the "A" to identify version). Except in Europe, there it was stamped 'B16A1'.
* B16A found in:
* 1989-1991 JDM Acura Integra XSi\RSi" (DA6/DA8)
* 1989-1991 JDM Honda CRX SiR (EF8)
* 1989-1991 JDM Honda Civic SiR (EF9)
o
+ Displacement: 1,595 cc (97.3 cu in) 1.6 litre
+ Compression: 10.2:1
+ Bore: 81.0 mm (3.2 in)
+ Stroke: 77.4 mm (3.0 in)
+ Rod Length: 134 mm (5.3 in)
+ Rod/stroke ratio: 1.745
+ Power: 160 PS (118 kW; 158 hp) @ 7,600 rpm & 15.5 kg·m (152 N·m; 112 ft·lbf) @ 7,000 rpm
+ Redline: 8100 rpm
+ Transmission: S1/J1/Y1 (4.4 final drive), YS1 (4.266 final drive, cable clutch, optional LSD)
+ ECU code: PR3 (DA6/DA8/EF8), PW0 (EF8/EF9/DA6)
+ OBD0
Looking for VTEC crossover now
EDIT - From what I read, 5200 is the crossover point. Well, it should be if you have the correct ECU for that motor.

Look at the ECU and tell us the string of numbers and letters located on the side.

it says pr3-003 is that a obd0? and on it from the dealer it says 90 integra xsi jdm , and they have 160hp b16a so basically my 158hp b16a thinks it has 160 stock?

IMO, a PR3 is a PR3. Nothing else would matter when looking at parts when looking at it the way you are.
For example: a p28 D16z6 ECU can run most any motor. Hell, I have one running my H22. Granted, it is chipped, but you get the idea. The problem is when the stock motor has a different sized injectors which screws up fuel tables. Everything else should work off the P28 with the appropriate stepdown/up harness (if needed).
If you are asking why someone didnt match the head with the ECU, it is because you don't have to. Your head says PR3, same as your ECU? Then IMO, they are the same.
