Dome light not turning off when door closed

Default Dome light not turning off when door closed

All of a sudden the door doesnt disengage the lights, i checked the switch the door presses on and it still works, the door just isnt pushing it in enough...how do I fix this problem?

Does the door look like it is fully closed on the outside? If not, loosen the bolts on the latch bar and move it inward so the door closes more. If the door is closing properly there may be a pad on the door to press the switch, which has fallen off. Compare to the other door.

It think the latch is off, now the you mentioned that the door sticks out a little bit, i have a foam pad on it right now as a temp fix...thank you!

I took a look at the passenger side and realized a rubber boot is missing on the driver's side. So now I have to find where to get one
