I am not currently a civic owner, but I am considering picking one up. I like the civics that were made in the late 90s.

The perfect car for me would be an LX sedan with manual transmission, factory sunroof and ABS would be a bonus. Was this set of options ever available in the model years 95-99?

I have looked on Edmunds and other sites and they say it wasn't available, but I have seen LXs with what looks like factory power sunroofs?
Is there any place to find original sales brochures online or does somebody out there have this car?

Also, my 96 accord sedan has a great sunroof. You get a nice breeze with it fully open, but can still carry on a conversation and hear the radio at 70 MPH. Is the civic similar?

not sure, just wanted to correct your year range.... EG civics= 92-95 EK= 96-2000

 

The Civic's LX package never comes with a moonroof. That's reserved for the EX and Si trims. There are aftermarket ones available though. I'm not sure about ABS.

 

thanks for the reply. That seems to be what Honda does with option packages and it makes sense. My ideal would be comfort with fuel economy, so the VTec doesn't matter so much to me.
I thought Accords were sold the same way [sunroof only on EX] until I ran into a 96 LX with a factory moonroof. Not sure how often that happens.
