Considering buying a 95 Civic 4 door
I'm considering buying a 95 Civic 4 door, LX model (I think). 5 speed, 205000 miles and the only option I know that it has is AC. It's apparently been undercoated every winter so it shouldn't be rotted out underneath, it just has some light surface rusting. The person is asking 1000 OBO for it.Should I buy it? I don't plan on doing any mods to it, I just want it for a fuel-efficient runabout. What kind of fuel mileage would this get? Here's a few pics:

civics are a "hot commodity" now days with the price of gas. i would offer him the 850, but 1000 is really worth it. it does have high miles but hondas are known to last long, plus when ur motor does **** the bed, its relativly cheap to find a motor in good shape.

I would do it, they are great cars, thats almost identical to mine, although i have every power option, but i will tell you, the rust WILL come, but its no real matter, other then looks, if you want a cheap daily driver, its perfect, Some things that have happened to mine,
Main Relay $50
Starter Solenoid Contacts $5
Balljoint Failure... that cost alot LOL like $200... but thats because it took out the axle too, just check the balljoints...
If it ever starts to Crank over, run for a sec then die. Its your Main Relay. Common issue with these guys. Just so you know.
OH! if it has not been drivin lately... i noticed the moisture on the carpet, that will be the windshield leaking, just pull the trim off the windshield, and run some silicone over the existing silicone, solves the issue. IF thats what it is... Just what it looks like to me.

If it runs well...
I had a 94 like that one, only "red". Paid 800 for it with 267K on it. I drove it to 289K till the trans-axle snapped and I bought my 00 Civic. That's a pretty damn good deal for having 205k. Especially because the body is in such decent shape. Baby it and it will run forever

body dies before the motor half of the time, as long as you dont beat on it, and keep the oil changed. think of oil like blood, if you ran outta blood, you would die, so keep your oil up to par and keep it changed! i would definatly snag up on it. you can always fix the little things for a daily driver

I bought mine last year. It's '96 with 145k miles. Looks just like yours. I changed the oil to high mileage oil and filter. Just ordered a new air filter too. Great no nonsense vehicle. Get at least 35mpg. Just love it. My other car is a BMW M3.
