All models from 1988 up to 2002 (I think) have the same setup with adjustable timing, and they're adjusted the same way.

It's quite possible. Do you have access to an inductive timing light? If not, your local auto parts store may rent you one.

problem solved i believe guys, just got a honda distributor, and the problems i was talking about no longer happen, i suppose aftermarket distributor does not work well with honda at all. thanks for the help and useful advice
