Default Yay or Nay!?!?

Woot found my B18C1! I get the whole car(meaning plus chassis) but just that it was in a accident and the driver side doors are trashed, the engine is still good with no leaks btu with 115,000 miles on it.

Full swap:
Year: 1998 GSR USDM
Complete Engine
Transmission
ECU
Engine Harness
Shift Linkage
Axels
And Everything Else

Price: $2,000
Mileage: 115,000

compression test, but if you can get an entire B18 plus chassis for $2000 i say go for it, fix the doors up and you'd be good to go

Finished

Compression tested from 245-250.

I might jsut take the engine out and swap out my B16 if everyone thinks it's a good buy. Plus will the integra back rotors work for a drum->rotor back conversion?

i think you need whole rear trailing arm assembly, plus brake lines, plus new master cylinder & proportioning valve

other than that, if it passes compression & leakdown tests, snag it

I don't know what the average compression test for a 98 GSR should be but yeah I got

245 245 248 250

If anyone knows what it should be at please do tell, thanks. I am just worried 115,000 miles lol.

And I should be able to get all those items for the back conversion on the teggy right?

numbers look nice and strong, and within 10% of each other...

i'd ask if they recently rebuilt the engine and/or head, or completely babied the car & motor

nominal compression should be 270 I believe

Just asked the car was stored during winters and driven on mostly on weekends. No re-built and I rechecked the engine again with no leaks at all and all timing belt sounds really good.

the belts should be changed at 100,000 so find out if they have been. and also dont worry about 115,000 miles, on a honda thats just broken in
