im trying to build up a turboed car, and i was wondering whats the best possible engine i could use. i have an LSvtec right now and its not in the best condition and i was thinking about building up another one with the whole nine yards but i would just like to see if anyone can tell me a better setup i could do.

Everything depends on what turbo you are using. Matching the right turbo to the right engine is vital.

the extra displacement in the B18 will produce more power, as well as faster spool due to more exhaust flow. the B18c1 block (USDM) has 10:1 compression, and a very strong bottom end. you could see well over 250 whp without any real reliability issues. if you leave the compression at 10:1, then the turbo will spool noticeably quicker, and for a daily driver, the spool will be more appreciated than a bit more top-end power with a lower compression build. the b16 is a lot cheaper, so if moneys a concern, you can go that route, but the low-end will be a little disappointing. and im not saying the B18 is better because i have it. i have it because its better.

to get the K20 youd better have a rich family backin u up or ur gunna b payin the dude who sold it to you up the ***, or just be richer than most ppl on here (w/ the exception of se7en). and an AWD conversion has been done, but its damn expensive, and takes quite a bit of skill and knowlage to do

but it is possible to do an AWD conversion? what would that involve?
would i also be able to do a 6speed with the k20?
and would the disco potato turbo be good for any of those or could i do something bigger?
by the way i am looking for a top end car too for all those mustangs and BMWs
