RE: What Now? Im a Newbie
how much power do you want? a nice mild cam would be a real nice upgrade and give you a bit more power. is it a vtec engine? if not look into putting a single cam d16z6 head on it to gain some power. or go with a turbo kit, or piece one together and save some cash.
the body looks pretty decent from the factory, but adding a nice lip and side skirts like ones from www.passwordjdm.com would help, along with a good set of lowering springs (like tein or eibach) and a camber kit to keep your tires from wearing fast

www.crower.com has a good selection, and i am sure you have heard of them. the cam is on the top of the engine, so it isn't nearly as bad as your camaro to change out

i really don't know, i never done one on a civic yet, but if you are good with tools, it shouldn't take more than a few hours, but remember to do the timing belt and waterpump at the same time so you don't have to do it again when they break

so lets see a cams gonna get me about a 20hp increase, what about new cam gears liek from Fidanza, thats liek another 15hp there too, a new intake manifold is good for what another 15, on top of that, so thats what like 50hp for about $600, should i just get a turbo if im gonan dish that out, whats the max PSI i can run on stock internals, that might just be more worth my while

RE: What Now? Im a Newbie
going turbo, you could easily achieve 200-225 wheel hp with a good tune. all on stock internals. going n/a will be harder to get more than 160 whp and it will cost a lot more money. and a cam gear would only be good for fine tuning like 1-4hp max, intake manifold/throttle body about 10
