that thread is on soo many forums now. and i have to disagree, with his non-existant car knowledge and mechanics, it's a dumb idea.

You know whats really funny. Scroll down to the picture of the guy in the welding hood, and its a cheap knock-off hood, and the welds look like CRAP!!! Seriously, they might hold up a four year old banging on them, but thats about it. He is welding it together with a hotbox!!! LOL That thing is gonna fall apart.

 

There is only 1 reason to swap a V8 into a honda. Promotion. If you own some sick shop and want a project car to promote it. If you want the daily driving capabilities of a V8, buy a car that comes with one. What the hell are you thinking? You have to ask all these stupid questions, its quite obvious you have 0 mech knowledge. Please buy something other than a honda, or learn the limitations.

 

well most the welds on that civet look good in the pictures ive seen........ those could just be some sloppy tach welds.......

you should see some of my start welds. LMFAO but im geting beter.... BUT i aint no pro welder so it takes me alittle while to get in the grove!

looks like he is using some good size railing so im sure he can realy crank the heat up on that railing!

Those are plates for his fender... he had to widen the body to fit the wheels. It has nothing at all to do the frame or structural integrity of the car.

ive seen the HUGE LONG post about the build and all the welds looked good.... at least all the important welds......
but jsut look at the firewall....... its not done at all in that picture... plus his welder is still in his hand so he isnt done and showing it off like that.LOL now if i saw that at a car show...... then id agree that looks HORIBLE....
but give em alittle credit.....

 

it's just a toy, the guy has got the money, and if the welds don't last, then he'll probably just take his lotus out for a spin instead.
