unless the car was imported from japan, or the motor was, it's a normal gsr (usdm)

well if the VIN on the engine says japan and when you run the car VIN it say usdm, and it say its a 1.6 and you kno its a 1.8 then your motor was swapped and it is a jdm engine. the difference is one compression ratios are higher and of course the displacement of a 1.8 is bigger than a 1.6 means more power.too bad you dont have a b18c5 bc that is the type r motor, but jus kno you have something good. build the motor turbo the bitch keep it all jdm since you have already have started win some races and go **** the **** out of one of those hot japanese model like you see on the fast and the furious....tell me if that **** is really sideways

THANK YOU Marty.

Why does no one know that USDM engines are the only ones with numbers after the engine name?

example:

b16a SiR II = JDM
b16a2 = USDM 99-00 Si

b18c R = JDM ITR
b18c5 = USDM ITR
