well hold on, is this a built turbo D or a stock engine? Theres the real question. The H in a civic may have rubbing issues, clearance issues, and tranny issues. Just remember you should take the H for what it is and dont plan on boosting it.

Thanks... that site owns! I need to find more video of Spec Vs getting spanked by Civics. There is a Spec V club here and they are SO annoying. Personally I think they are a mom car... but I guess to each his own right? HCF is great. I've been here for two days and I already feel welcome.

Man with all due respect please stop regurgitating things that you have seen others say about H swapped civic's. I honestly think the H is a better option. A little more initial cost but you still have Honda reliability and a high 13 second car with bolt ons and a tune.

Hey marty, just like Iv said in a post before, I have seen with my own eyes an H22 go out with a bang on 8 psi. It lasted about 7 months. You really need to look into what FRM is and why it isnt good for boosting.

RE: Turbo Z6 or H22 Swap??
Your telling me I need to look into FRM sleeves lol. You have seen them blow in 8psi.....well Tony blew his D on 8psi so I guess all D's will blow on 8psi. The only thing the sleeves make a problem are when chossing aftermarket pistons and rings. Wiesco has FRM freindly pistons and rings and besides that we are talking a swap vs boosting a Z6 and in the long run you may make more peak numbers with the D but if you ****** up a H22 type S add some cams, a aftermarket intake manifold(get rid of the IAB's) and/or maybe supercharge it it will be entirely safe with a correct tune, make for a great power band and the tq curve will dominate a turbo d. It is all about power under the curve man and more displacement gives that.

So it means nothing, you cant base all things off what you seen that one time. Anything could have blown that engine. Anything from timing to bad fuel. And it still does not matter because the guy who posted did not say hey "I'm going to boost the **** out of a H22" he asked opinions on H vs Boosted Z6 and you came out with a number of reasons that are spotty and inconsistant along with being opinion based as to why the H is somehow a inferior design when it isn't. You are going off of things you read, things you have seen other people say, not off of what you have seen. Sure you seen 1 engine blown under unknown circumstances and you are ready to write off the whole series of engines because of it. Not only are you doing that but you are passing along this hear say to other inexperienced people who are going to like yourself take it as gospel and possibly turn around and pass the info along again like you have.
Weight concerns, if weight was that much of a concern people would not tout K24 swaps like they do.
Clearence issues are not a issue when you dont go and slam your car to the ground like a dumb *** teenager, suspension setups need to be altered for damn near any swap and a low center of gravity does not mean slammed.
FRM sleeves are a problem when you are taking place in a big build pushing power that in the end is not needed on the street.
Weight transfer problems, the H actually sits more upright than a B series, putting more weight over the ceneter between the front wheels.
Displacement equals more tq at a lower rpm and a higher average tq number throughout the whole rpm range. Tq moves a car and makes a product worth buying, hp sells the product and is the number people look at.
This is ITR power with K24 tq for far less than either engine but yet both of them engines are touted as being allmighty.
