With that many miles I think your engine has grown too accustomed to standard oil to swith at this point... I could be wrong tho..

since you haven't used synthetic motor oil i wouldn't use it. my car has 126,000 miles on it and i use the higher mileage motor oil and some duralube when i do an oil change. i've heard when your engine gets over 100,000 miles synthetic motor oil is not good for your car because your engine will tend to have oil leaks. it's not my opinion just what i've heard.

i'd go with a "high mileage" synthetic. something that will help recondition the seals & stuff.

I switched to syntetic in my old Audi 100 and it had 250K on it. No leaks, no problems. I switched it on my civic when I bouth it with 110,000 on it. I say go for it. I personaly have had no problems with doing that. I think if your car already leaks oil though, then I wouldent.

If you goto mobil1's website, there is a section where it explains the myths and whatnot about switching at high milage.
