Spark plugs 2006 Civic 4dr EX
Did some looking around and can't seem to find an answer as to what the "S" stands for in the plug "IZFR6K11 S". The stealer wants way too much money for them $25 per, and I have found the IZFR6K11 without the "S" buying them trough Advanced Auto On line for $10 per. My questions are,
1. What does the "S" stand for and is it important?
2. Should I be changing them out at 50,000 miles?
3. Should I use some anit sieze on the threads if I do change them?
Thanks for your help.
I have a 2006 Honda Civic w/Nav 4 dr. auto trans I guess it is a 1.8 on the engine.

Is there anyone who could help me on this? I have a 2006 Civic LX 4DR and I'm almost at 50K miles. I'd like to change the plugs but haven't seen any tips or instructions on this site.
I'd like to go with a better aftermarket plug than the stock plugs for better mileage and response.
I remember someone also telling me they install a little anti-seize to the plug threads upon installation.
Thanks,
~Dan

just buy some ngk spark plugs, you apply the anti seize to the top of the plug where the plug wire connects to it. its the easiest job you will do, just get a 3/8 ratchet a long extension and a 5/8 spark plug socket. ONLY pull one spark plug wire at a time so you dont mess up and get them crossed and mess up the firing order.

Thanks.
I called the dealer and the maintenance schedule says the spark plugs do not need changed until 105K miles since they are platinum on a 2006 Civic.
I am going to change the transmission oil, pollen air filter and engine air filter soon.
