poor mans type r

Default poor mans type r

i have a 00 civic si an im looking to switch to the b18c1 block. i have the block and all the head gasket seals but im wondering if i going to need anything else besides that? im new to this so sorry if this the wrong forum

maybe consider a Mugen or Spoon head gasket to bump the compression, as well as a new timing belt and water pump, and a good set of headstuds. if in doubt of the parts you need, having a b16 head, and a gsr block, its the exact same as a integra type r motor(exept for internals), so order it for that.

I was saving for a b18c5 block when my SI was stolen. youll deff need a thinner head gasket on there because of the bumped up compresion youll get from it.
