Default obd1 vs 2 ls head

As many of you know I'm going all motor non vtec. I have a guy from my area that does swaps pretty much every week and is looking for an obd2 ls for me. But on craigs there's a ported ls head up for $100, or $150 with internals but no cam or cam gear. Only problem is it is obd1. But stock ls heads are really restrictive and machine work and porting gets really expensive. So what I need to know is the difference in the heads, sensors basicaly. Because I need to pass emissions with this car I'll jneed everything running on par with obd2.

any ls head will work, you just gotta put a obd2 intake mani and stuff on the head.

Ok sweet, I'll have to pick this up one of these days then. As long as the head won't be missing anything that an obd2 would have for me to pass emissions I'll get it. When I get my full ls swap from a guy I'd put mani and everything on the ported head. Biggest restriction on an ls is the flow going in, and this will save me a lot of money having someone port mine.
