i dont think its nessecarily worthless...like i said, get an EX transmission, intake manifold, and head. you will gain a good half second in the quarter.

A stock D16Y8 just isn't fast enough for me anymore, and there's little room for expandability with a Y series. I have no faith in the Y series bottom end, even if you can get the head/electronics to work for you.

im not going to disagree with you because there are a lot of problems with the y series engines...and i'd much rather have a z or a b, but i still wouldnt call them WORTHLESS...i mean hell iw ouldnt even call the d17's worthless and i hate them.

the d series its self is worthless without boost imo. i hate my motor. want the b16a2 but still wont be much power. just trying to concentrate on looks and handeling. thats whats fun. wish the civic had more power but oh well.

A decent all motor D16 can be made from P29/PM7 pistons, but I wouldn't invest more than that into an all motor D.

hey dont hate on the d im rockin the d. and i plan on having atleast 380whp on it. but i am fully rebuilding it and a 8-10 lbs of help from a turbo kit. i am already in the process i have an extra Y8 head am goin to port and polish, cam, valves, valve springs, valve retainers, and turbo kit are going to be skunk2 and the pistons rods and rings are going to be wiseco
