Default mini-me conversion?????

Been reading the threads on the mini-me conversion. Can this be done with the 05 LX? Engine code is D17A1 (non-vtec). If so what would I need to complete this, is this something that I can do myself, and what power gain should I except to see? Thanks for the help guys.

Wow! Now I believe this one will definitely void the warranty.

I'm sure that it will once completed, but like most of the other mods that I'm looking at; they don't come for the LX model yet just the EX (probably because of the different chassis and the fact that the EX is the model with V-Tec). This mod will most likely in a year or more, have to get other things in there first; but wanted to know if possible and the benefits of doing it.

correct me if im wrong...but isnt the EX sedan (aside from the different version of the D17) just an LX with a bunch of extra convenience goodies? and if so couldnt you use an exhaust on the LX thats made for the EX sedan?

no, the LX and EX models for 2005 have different chassis codes. not sure what all the differences are, but the main two that I've run into so far is the V-Tech of course and the exhaust system. the LX cat converter is right after the header and the EX has a pipe section between the header and cat. this makes cat back's for the LX longer than on the EX so far the only system i've found that specifically states for the use in LX model is the Mangaflow 15712
