RE: LS/VTEC
the ls block can be v-tec but its really complicated to do because theres a right way and wrong way. i read an article in HondaTuning and it gave step to step instruction. it been done alot around here and they run strong if done right. they have a bad history of blowing up tho. heres a site for all your info.

RE: LS/VTEC
I think the main thing is making sure it gets done right,
And dont forget that that block was not built to handle 8k rpms. Not saying it cant or wont, as they do all the time but there is differences between non-vtec and vtec blocks.

on basic principles, i feel the need to advise you against this. the money you save from this over a full gsr swap will make itself up in maintenence pretty quickly. and it only takes a few overrevs for catastophic failure.
