Default like to learn more about my civic engine

I have a 98 Civic Dx and i have no clue what my engine is. and i also like to know what engine can i get that would fit my car.

there is a few engines you can get in there. almost all of them would require a mounting kit of some type. but the best engine you could put in wihout mounting kits that i know of would be the D16Y8.

k-series, h-series, b-series... all really good engines but a little pricy

i was looking around and wonder would a K20A do able? and what do you think it would cost

a k20 would be to big for that civic, u might have to take things out inorder to make it fit. Same goes for the H22. Your best bet is a b16a 2nd gen. or a b18c1

that is a bull**** A$$ lie. I have seen a K20A been put into a civic. it was 01-03 I dont remember what year. He said he didnt have to remove anything at all.

no dude....what hes saying is its too big an engine for that specific civic. and honestly i agree. with the money and time you spend putting a K into an EK......well it would just be better money and time spent swapping in and turbocharging a B.

easiest swap would have to be a B16A2...followed by the GSR.

BULL HOCKEY. Big engines can go in EK bodies just fine. The only problem he might have is the motor mounts.
