K20Z3 vs. K23A1 in 2007 si
HI everyone
i am the biggest newbie ever...i will need your guys' help
im thinking of putting a K23A1 into my 2007 si but it might be a little costly i was wondering if i should do that or just boost my K20Z3 as it is right now...what would be more cost effective...what are some considerations i have to think about?
any help would be wonderful
thanks and happy 4th

Well im not exactly an expert, but the k20a1 is around 215hp and your car should be pushin 197hp if my memory serves correct. you could get a cheaper turbo kit off ebay but i've seen some that dont do a thing. on the other hand i have seem some decent turbo kits for around 1500-2ooo either way you'll need another 1000 for a tune. i know the swap would be more expensive but thats what i would do plus it would be sweet to have a type-r motor. any way thats what i want to do since i myself have a 2005 si however the k24 is just caught my attention.any way enough about me good luck with your swap or boost either way the o7si is a sick ride 6speed is sick

A K23A1 what is that? To the best of knowledge I don't think that engine exists.
Anyway if you turbo then you are going to run into tuning issues because Hondata does make a k-pro for your engine. also a full greddy kit costs around 3000 just for the kit so figure another 500 for a tune. i would swap your block out for a K24A2 which will give you some low end torque. then get a good header and exhaust and call it a day.
