Head Studs Necessary

RE: Head Studs Necessary
ARP's are worth it, but they aren't absolutely necessary. You can get away with stock replacement right now. The thing is, is that the stockers aren't reuseable (or not supposed to be) becasue they stretch when they are torqued down. ARP head bolts keep the head under compression instead of under tension like the stockers.
By the way, you are gonna need to mix and match the head bolts anyway to get a z6 head on a y8 block. One of the y8 studs is gonna be too short for the z6 head. Also, the cam timing between the z6 and y8 are 4.5* off, make sure you compensate with that cam gear.
