K20 swap is gonna be a challenge....if i was you i'd take my time, save my money, correctly build your D17, get an AEM EMS, and then turbo it. Don't go all out, just over 200 whp would be just fine for your DD....any more and wheel spin becomes a problem, not very convenient for city driving. A T25 at the intenrally gated 7 or 8 PSI would be fine IMO, and with pistons/rods and a nice tune, you'd be living the good life. Remember, the tune is the most critical part of your tune, so spent the $$$ on a professional dyno tune.

BTW that second link i posted below is actually included in the first link at the bottom, i think thats why its not a sticky itself anymore

OK like most others have said before, this is not the easiest engine to build and if you ask any of the regs that know me I'm going all out motor. Turbo is without a doubt the cheapest and simplest way to increase the power of your D17. Look into Dezod, they have a lot of products for the D17 motor. IPT also has a trans upgrade kit. I've done alot of research into the all-motor aspect of this engine and while it's definately not the cream of the crop it can be done if you are willing to spend the money. Which will amount to a lot. Turbo kit, cam shaft, top and bottom end with an AEM EMS will do you over 200 easy with a good tune.

Good Luck!

If you are talking about spraying it has to be a wet kit, unless you are willing to make a custom fuel system to run a dry kit, which isn't hard by any means; it's in my DIY of the Y8 IM manny swap for the D17, but a wet kit is bolt up. Wouldn't go too high without some sort of fuel management system though.
