Hey there, i have a D16Y9. Does anyone know how or what i need to use the same block but use a VTEC head?

correct me if im wrong but thats the engine out of the EK DX in non-us/jap countries right? i think its the exact same engine as the D16Y7. so the process of mini me will be the same. theres a thread in here thats very good. it might be stickied. i'll find it an post a link here ofr you/

Im not sure about the availability of a SOHC VTEC or parts here in South Africa. We do have the DOHC VTECS though. Some people say the DOHC will work but some dont. I have no clue!

Our VTEC's are B16A's. Would this head work on my block?

No, head swap won't work. You'd need a full B-series engine and trans.
