cost/considerations: engine swap with auto to manual switch
hey all, I mainly just lurk around here but I'm gearing up for some fun.
I drive a 98 civic DX 3dr auto that I love to death.
I'd like to put in a b16a2 engine with a manual transmission.
lookin at Sunrise JDM, i can pick up the main stuff for $2600 (see below) but how much should I plan for other essentials needed to switch engines and convert to manual? Since I want to go to FI in the future, are there upgrades I should maybe install at the same time as the engine swap?
Also: for the auto to manual switch, I have a buddy thats been playing around with muscle cars since the 70s, is the technology in a 6th gen civic transmission similar enough to cost-justify the beer it would take to convince him to help me out with the project?
main stuff:
Honda Civic 96-00Dohc Vtec 1.6 L ( Engine, 5 speed Transmission, ECU, Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, Distributor, Alternator, Starter, Power Steering Pump, All Sensors, Clutch, Fly Wheel, Pressure Plate )

RE: cost/considerations: engine swap with auto to manual switch
f/i means more air which means you will need more fuel. You should get bigger injectors, etc. depending on amount of boost you do not need them until you run your turbo because you will run extremely rich. Never done one but i would think that auto to manual would be a headache. Good Luck
