Default A/C Doesn't blow cold air anymore =/

Hey guys.

Well, my a/c used to blow good cold air, and now with the heat I need it more than ever.

So what would cause the a/c to not blow cold air? Only blows hot air.

Does pushing the A/C button activate the button light? If not, check for blown fuses (#17, 47, 57).

If so, does the condenser fan run and compressor clutch activate when the A/C button is pushed?

Is the A/C compressor belt broken?

r-134 gas is low in it. check the simplest stuff first like the fuses and such. work your way up to the more complicated tasks. sometimes the smallest thing keeps it from working correctly.

Haha, windows thing doesn't necessarily help much when its over 100 degrees outside.

I'm thinking it has to do with the compressor. The a/c light activates, blows hot air in, the condenser fan runs, but I don't see any freon at the site guage flowing.

Use manifold gauges to test the refrigerant pressure at the low and high sides with the engine running when the A/C button is OFF versus ON.
