amsoil is a very good brand, but I THINK royal purple is best. this will get locked because a **** mod loses his cool over topics like this, won't mention hi..her name.

search google, and there is no real answer if you don't provide what you're looking for (i.e. price vs performance, mileage, viscosity range)

I've always used Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil. I used to use the K&N oil filters but have switched to the Mobil 1 filters. They apparently filter better than the K&N and they're cheaper.

I use Mobil1 in my 4runner and Civic, ran it in my Tacoma as well.

Amsoil, while good stuff, reminds me too much of a cult, and the reps are usually annoying.

Synthetic only pays for itself if you're exposed to extreme weather conditions, or extreme use. Otherwise it's not worth it in my opinion, and regular oil changes with dino oil will be just as effective.

I only started using synthetic when I lived in the near arctic, winter low temps of -60F or so, dino oil runs slower than tree sap, while syn still poors easily at that temp.

All the oil info/opinions you'll ever need at Bob is the oil guy.
