yes a b16b head would bolt on, but its not worth the money. all type r b series heads are cast off the same mold - a b16a head. the type r heads have better cams, valvetrain, and a factory port and polish. a built b16a head would do just fine and save you money in the process espescially if you plan to build it more

b18c5 is made for all motor. I wouldn't touch a b18c5 if i wanted to boost. If you want to reallly boost then just go with ls/vtec or straight ls. Quote me if im wrong but i heard that b20 sleeves aren't that strong to boost. What i would choose is ls/vtec turbo. Plus you have to think about the pins you have to put in the head (oil)to wire up vtec. just me 2 cents...

the B20 cyl walls are ok for boost but without changing the rod bolts it is not going to like reving high for long.

Yeah, i have made up my mind that im going with the b18b and with the money i saved over the b18c5 im going to build a decent turbo, then down the line i might convert it to vtec and built up the internals. how much HP can the stock internals of the b18b handle safely if the motor is in verry good condition? also how strong are the b18bs cyl walls?

300 to 320whp stock, cyl walls are not a concern on any honda engine untill 550+hp

don't worry about th cylinder walls, just worry about the rods and pistons. Safe boost is around 11-maybe up to 14psi. Anything in there you should be okay.
