Default b7 or z6

ok i was looking into getting some internals to boost a d, but i checked and saw that the b7 motor is 38cc compared to the z6 which is a 34.6cc. so would this be better to boost?

i have a turbo D (d15b). i would say go with the z6 thats one best sohc motors out there. but then again the fastest turbo D i have ever seen was a d15b7 so its up to you

yes the z6 tranny is better the tranny has shorter gears and will give a faster accerlation.but the dx tranny is ok to run with boost but a z6 with a dx tranny without boost really sucks the gears are way to long

which engine do you have. if you have a b7 use that and do a mini me and you have the best of both worlds.

yeah but if i run boost w/ the z6 head will there be any leaking issues, seeing that the b7 has more cc's than the z6.

the compression would be higher with a mini me over a non-vtec b7 or vtec z6, but it wouldn't leak.

ok because i was still debating on just fully switching out the engine for the z6. but seeing how i can get more displacement on the b7 is the only reason i don't wanna let it go. just a thought is boost going to correct to vtec or would i also need more hardware on the side?

a d15b7 is smaller than the d16z6 by .1 liter. a b7 makes i think 115hp flywheel, and a z6 makes 126hp flywheel. the cc's you are talking about are the combustion chamber volumes i believe, and only really affects the compression ratio
