it was acting up about 3 months ago, it wasn't engaging when i turned the key to "start", but after enough times it would knock itself together and go...

now i did my motor swap, and i have a 300+whp car ready to run and all thats keeping me back is a fuel pump!! argh![:@]

i replaced the main efi relay, the efi fuse isn't blown... why would the fuel pump work one day and not the next? no wires could have been cut... any help?

p.s. after the swap i got the car to start, my lifters needed adjusted badly so i turned it off asap, the next day after i adjusted the lifters the fuel pump wouldnt engage... SO FRUSTRATING

Check for loose or corroded connectors at the main relay and fuel pump.

Check whether any of the main relay/fuel pump fuses are loose.

 

theres only one fuse for the 2 i think.. its fine


ill have to pull my back seats and check, maybe when we swapped it out we didnt get a good enough connection?

What year Civic? A 6th generation Civic has three different main relay fuses: #44, 31 , and 13.

 

oh really???? its a 99.. ill look at those as well i suppose
