Default Turn off vtec

i was thinking about putting a switch in my car so i could turn off vtec. i would splice the wire going to or from the ecu, so vtec would not activate. the only reason is because my RPM is pretty high when im cruising down the freeway at 80-85 mph, and i am pretty sure that i am close to the vtec point (no tach so i am not totally sure). would you think there would be any side effects to turning off vtec?

Limp mode is get you home mode. Car runs like crap and not at full potential until the ECU is reset.

Berz out.

If you really wanna turn the VTEC off, just get a VTEC controller, and make VTEC kick in at 10K........
