toggle switch for vtec.....

Default toggle switch for vtec.....

90 hatch si w/D1.6 vtec. i currently have a non vtec ecu and i want to hook my vtec up to a toggle switch. anyone see any possible problems with this? I know it will work but i don't know if it bad for the engine and has anyone every done this before?
Much appreciation in advance for and help/advice with this.

i've never heard of doing that. i'm pretty much sure you'll have the get the right ecu

no im sure there's a way around it cause that means i need the WHOLE wiring harness

You can't use a toggle switch because of engagement...but, you use a vtech controller.

I've seen vtec switches before. No offense, but they're completely pointless. Personally, I'd have just bought a vtec ecu and wired it up the right way. But, to each his own.

theres a video of that on youtube where the guy had a button on his shift **** that kicks his car into vtec. google it its kinda intersting.
