Default REV and SPEED LIMITER's

How can I keep the same ECU but not have a rev limiter or speed limiter, so if I need a couple extra rpms, and is is bad to go higher than 7 grand or the hit the rev limiter? My friend and his prelude hits his rev limiter all the time and says its not bad but It just dont seem right and and another friend has a prelude with out rev limiter and hits 8 sometimes 9. How bad is all this?

While the H22 is a very solid engine, repeated abuse to the stock internals is going to catch up with him in the long run (when he throws a rod...). If you want to jack up your redline, there are chips you can buy to modify your rev limiter/governer, or you can reprogram it, or you can just have someone modify it (like I did) if you have an old-*** ECU.

I agree dont mess with your rev limiter it is there for a reason , IE so you do blow a rod just like he said.

Yeah. I wouldn't screw with it unless you build the engine.

Thanks guys what about speed issue, it suck s if I am racing, for example the other night I was racing a miata, I smoked it but when I got to 120 i could not go any farther and he passed , of course I slowed down a bite I had like 4 car lanes ahead, but when it is against say another civ or teg, something that would be even withme I want to be able to go past 120 just so if they hit there limiter I dont and I win. you know what I am saying

Its all about street racing.about the rev limiter i have plenty of friends who live off their rev limiter but all its going to do is sloiw u down because its cutting fuel to your motor, but if u want a reprogram your ecu i would use hondata.com check it out.

whys it all about street racing? because you dont like a fair, managed race without the janky "drop my arms" or "honk three times" starts? or you havent tried auto-x? with those be-deviled left AND right hand turns? get off the streets man. if theres not a track around you, try to get an organized system going with local support. its just stupid to go out and race at the illegals where you can wreck or get rolled by the cops, let alone the bastards who will follow you home and jack your car, or when you wreck and bitches run up and rip **** out of your car while youre laying there bleeding (im serious, i know people that happened to. actually, i know people whove done it, though i dont hang out with them much, not the kind of people i associate with too much.)
