Default obd1 ECU obd2 engine...

i swapped the engine on my 94 civic LX to a 96 d16y7...i wantd to know if i needed a harness to get rid of the CEL n would one b needed for my future mods (I/H/E/turbo/hondata). if so which harness do i need, thanx in advance

here's the thing, the IACV that you have is a three wire piece. The one on OBD1 are 2 wire ones.

I really can't help you with the answer, but this is the issue that you're having. try searching from there. it's also possible that you bought an engine with a bad IACV, can you try to use your old one?

no the old engine is gone but ill try to do more searchin to solve my problem

POSSIBLY a two wire IACV from an older civic will work. Can't tell for sure though.

ima try to find one the IACV aside...do u know if hondata or chippin the ecu works on an automatic/ non-v-tec
