Default Nippondenso O2???

Ok, I read somewhere on here that bosch o2 sensors are not that great, well thats what I put in my d15b7, 1995 civic. Are the nippondenso sensors much better? I did a search but couldnt find where I saw that post. Is this bosch sensor thingy just a racers little edge or are bosch sensors on a honda a major oops?

Denso makes great stuff. Poke around your engine bay and see just how many Denso manu'd parts are in there.

poke? lmao, um ok but I really dont care party all the denso parts get invited to inside the engine bay just as long as they work the best. If a denso will get me noticable gains in performance or mileage then its worth it.

If you already put the Bosch in, I can't imagine it would be worth it to buy a Denso or a Nippon. What's causing you to think about replacing a new one? (or is it not new?). If you're still getting a poor mileage condition/ rich condition after replacing it with a Bosch O2, then you may have another problem, not neccessarily a bad O2.

Good luck!

well the mileage has dropped off, but the sensor is new....so yes its time to check things out. I dont have a scan tool so its guess time

If that was even halfway readable from a grammatical standpoint, maybe it'd be funny *shrug*

Anyway, have you considered maybe doing a full tune up to fix your crappy running car, rather than blaming it on one specific part? Just a thought

Is the Check Engine Light ON? If so, here's how to pull the code:

actually no, I dont have a cel. Actually the only problem I am experiencing right now is the up and down idle when cold. If I start it cold and dont hit the gas after its started, it wont do the up and down idle. But if I hit the gas or drive it like back up or go forward for a little while(car still cold) it can idle up and down, but it doesnt do it excessively. It did not do this with the automatic tranny still installed. I just did the 5 speed swap.

Surging idle can be caused by a number of things. Start here..
