Question How to put OBD1 in a AT D16Y8 Vtec?

Were wondering to buy a chipped OBD1 with a harness converter, but got the answer bellow from a ecu modder/dealer.

"Automatic no…I don’t support or offer any advice on Automatic setups…only manual, 5 speed setups. Sometimes auto stuff works…sometimes it doesn’t…you would have to do your own research on what might work on your car."

can anyone give me some directions? tnx a lot.

found this ecu in ebay.
"P91 civic orthio (D16A SOHC VTEC); rare but equivilent to a P28, supports B-series DOHC VTEC programming OBD-1 JDM/EURO (92-95) Rare & hard to find item."

to tune an auto you will most likely need a piggyback unit like GReddy E-Manage or the AEM equivalent to that (i can't remember the name... VAFC? idk)

why are you going to be tuning? if you are going to be doing turbo, i would suggest not turboing your automatic. It will produce less results than a manual, and doesn't hold up well.

i'm getting conformed and already looked for a manual tranny. found here one used OEM for US$800 + shipping (around US$200). unfortunately it's even more expensive to get one from US sellers. send some email to the seller asking if he take mine at as part of the deal.
yeah, i would like to go turbo in near future

some good news mates,
went to a mechanic that only tunes honda, lots of them to racing. told me can fix a p30 ecu (better than p28 because got more extras), with harness jumper, to work with my automatic transmission. advise me not to buy OBX camshafts.

Ok, as trust asked, why are you tuning?
Do you have your turbo in yet?
What, in the ways of modification, have you done to your car?
And +1 on not tuning an auto.

Dear,
macbeth18288
Ok, as trust asked, why are you tuning?
A: I love to accel in the traffic light and smoke some more (very, if possible lol) expensive car.

Do you have your turbo in yet?
A: No, but saving for it.

What, in the ways of modification, have you done to your car?
A: None, only took off the catalytic converter (got to, it was ruined and a new one costs very much) put a small high flow muffler instead. but already bought and waiting to arrive, cold air intake, 4-2-1 2.25" tube exhaust manifold, full catback exhaust system. and Coilover Spring Kit.
about polluting, here the gas is mixed with ethanol so it doesn't pollute that much. also doesn't produce that much HP

And +1 on not tuning an auto.
A: Don't know if i understand that one, but in the future i'm pretending to go on MT and turbo.

I'm wondering, until don't go on mt (hard to find here), to put a stage2, maybe 3, camshaft with a obd1 ready to chip (will tune here) ecu. when put my hands on turbo kit, sell it. maybe a stage2 can be conciliated with turbo, not sure.

My best.

dude, tuning a stock motor isn't barely going to do anything. waste of a dyno run or 2

and why did you put a muffler in the cat's place?

i will go tune only with camshaft and ecu in hands. the muffler is because the cat was hollow and making a horrible noise because of resonance.
