Default Hondata Info?

Hey guys, i have come to the conclusion that the performance issue in my car was not the gas, or the injectors, or whatever, but the computer. I have the brand new RC 310cc's, vortec FMU, Apex-i VAFC, and it still keeps screwing up. So, i have been looking at Hondata, but am very confused by it. I just thought it was an external box that was connected to your ECU and that was it. But i have been reading about having to get a new ECU, some chip of some sort, base maps?? I dont know what to do or where to start. Can i use the ECU i have now?? Do i have to buy some extra chips?? What is a base map, and why do i need it? I am looking at the Hondata S100 because i am in school full time and have no money. Who can tune the thing? I know i sound like an idiot, but this electronic stuff is very confusing for me. Thanks for any help.

the best idea is to get a P28 ecu (manual transmissioned car) and get the s300 if possible, if you figure up how much it will cost for the s200 with all the options as the s300 then your goin to be close to double the price of the s300 in the first place. the s300 is soldered directly into the ecu board. which is about 70some pins lol i personaly wont do it but a friend of mine is doin my s300.

anyone that is a vendor and has an engine dyno can tune it b/c it takes special software to tune it or something if u dont have the s300 which u can tune urself if you have a laptop.

also if you get hondata your goin to have to take out the vafc.
