1000th post, woot!

Anywho.. What car/motor is this going in?

Seems like a nice kit for a pretty good price, BUT, you'll still need

Injectors (probably DSM's with resistor box and clips) - 80-100
If I remember correctly you are already OBD1, so that's covered
What ECU are you running? You may have to get a p28 chipped
A TUNE is crucial as well

that kit looks nice, but you can usually find a used GReddy kit for alot less or again, piece togetehr your own kit.

ive done alot of tuning with S300 its not that hard to do really if y ou understand the background of igniton and fuel aspects of a ignition and fuel map
hondata s300 has boost maps pre made and has base maps for a few turbo kits. i know it has a Revhard turbo kit map, revhard S/C map and a few other turbo maps.

IMO its worth the money and a hellva lot cheaper than the AEM

im putting it in my 99 si for n/a then maybe boost it if i hold onto the car.

well you wont need aset of DSM 450's unless you plan on boosting to about 12psi

even then your goin to need a way to control those injectors : IE: standalone engine management or a VAFC Hack

450's are good insurance at anything over 8psi. You most certainly do not need a stand alone management system to run them, Hack's aren't a good idea either.

Chip the ecu, have a basemap put on it, then take it to a tuner

tuning is the whole idea behind contorlling the injectors, thats what this thread is all about. Tunign your OBD1 or the E-manage are two ways of doing it. A stand-alone system isnt necesarry, its just another way to do it.

And a VAFC is recommended against since all it does it contorl the a/f ratio, whereas an OBD1 tuned, Emanage or stand-alone can tune the a/f map but also adjust the spark and do various other things that are necesarry when you're boosted.

ive had some good experience with a vafc hack. and hondata thats y i dont go towards a chipped ecu.
pretty much what me and some of my friends have came up with as well as other forums ive read, the vfc hack is good to about 300hp levels b/c it can no longer control the injectors much more above that. thats where i find hondata to be helpful and a very usefull tool for tuning IMO

your also goin to need a injector resistor box and the correct injector clips to make the 450's work ive got a resistor box if your interested in it. i havent used it its sitting in my room b/c i was going to use it with the 450's i have out in the garage i can sell both together for 4 injectors and resistor box for 100 plus shipping LMK if interested.

so you and your friends think Hondata and any other program (crome, neptune, etc.) is useless unless your pushing 300hp+?
