Default Fuel Cell

Hey guys, this doesn't really fit in anywhere so im putting in ECU and Electronics. My question is what is a fuel cell. I see Fuel Cells used often on shows such as Monster Garage. What does a fuel cell do and why would you want one?

I wasn't talking about the Hydrogen Fuel Cell. The fuel cell im talking about is some sort of gas tank. But i wanted to know what makes it diffrent from a regular gas tank.

its smaller, lighter, and can be put in a variety of places, to distribute the weight how you want it. you can also use a seperate one for race fuel.

right but a fuel cell holds less fuel........and its most likely lighter than a stock gas tank. So u rip out the 11 or so gallon gas tank and replace it with lets say a 4 gallon carbon fiber fuel cell or titanum one and ur cutting the weight a LOT but my car is a daily driver and um stopping for gas more than once a week seems to **** me off.....let along more than once a day. lol ull most likely only seem em on track cars.

hehe, yeah, i top mine off as much as i can so i dont have to stop as often. my stupid 10 something gallon tank wasnt made for the GSR motor. i mean, i get decent mileage, but its still alot thirstier than the stock 1.5 liter.
