fmu? missing link?

RE: fmu? missing link?
Yea, i do have to agree with all these guys about both items as well. I had both installed and for the most part they did what they were supposed to...fooled the ECU into thinking everything was okay, until it finally gave up the ghost. I would advise staying away from both products, however if you just needed to run them till you got your ECU chipped and tuneed then it would be alright IMO. I have a nearly new Missing Link, if you need one as a "band aid."

Hondata, neptune etc is basically the software used to "tune" the ECU to get the most out of your bolt-on's. The GM 3bar is used for high levels of boost, because the standard OEM honda map sensor can only handle boost up to a certain point...dont quote me on that, my OEM did fine at 7psi...

No. If you did in fact have a good tune, then everything (if done correctly) would be working together, like a "well oiled machine."
Sure turbo's make these little rice rockets faster, but did you ever wonder why manufactureres put em on cars like volvo? I mean its a soccer mom car, right?
Performance is a good thing, yes indeed, however gas mielage is also a factor. You can tune a motor for either or, or nail it right in the middle and get the best of both worlds. I actually got BETER gas mileage when my motor was boosted than I do now with the turbo sitting beside my shop.
I think everyone would agree with me when I say that if a job is done correctly using good quality solid component's, than you would not be "beating on your motor." As with anything, there is wear and tear involved...no difference with a turbo application.

Okay, the Hondata, Crome etc...is all SOFTWARE for your ECU. Used to tune your car for optimal performance. What a GM 3bar map sensor is...is a map sensor...that can handle more boost than a factory Honda map sensor. However my OEM Honda sensor handled 7 psi no problem, I believe I have heard that anything above 10 psi is where you need to replace OEM with a GM 3bar. You can get a GM 3bar from ANY auto parts store. Very easy to come by...
