if the ecu is the same, then nothing will change, if you have it programmed with hondata, uberdata, or some other engine management, then you can have the vtec engagement point changed to whatever you want

well i put a b16a swap in my 94 ex but it doesnt kick in until like almost 6000 rpm, i want to change it to kick in sooner but dont want to go through the hassle of a vtec controller and messing with the fuel and all that, and how would i program the ecu?

there are other sites that have details, but thats out of my scope. 6,000 is too late though. i would take off he vtec soleniod(next to dist.) and double check the filter screens, if they clog it would cause the problem your having. make sure the plunger has free movement, before spending money.
