ECU tuning?
I have heard people talk about tuning the ecu before and i was wondering how would i go about doing that in my car. Should I wait for more mods on my motor (D16Y8), and if so like what? And how much does it cost to buy the stuff to tune your ecu, isnt there a company called hondata that does that stuff? I dont know much about this subject so can a few of you shine some light on this subject, thanks for any information!

RE: ECU tuning?
No, it doesn't need to be modded, but as with everything, the more you have done, there more you will get out of it. Tuning a stock ECU can actually get you another 6-8Hp, but that number goes up with every mod that you have so people usually wait until they run out of bolt-ons.
But tuning is always a good idea. It wouldnt hurt for you to start looking into it and learning as you go. Hondata is a fantastic product, but there are less expensive options if you want to learn to do it yourself. Crome and Uberdata are free shareware that are Windows based tuning environment. Go to PGMFI.org and start reading.
