Default did searching, found nothing, what do turbo timers do?

pretty simple, I did some searching on here and couldnt find much. . could someone give me a rundown of what turbo timers do?

I think I got it now..... so what they do is after you park your car and take the key out of the ignition, your car will stay running for a specified amount of time to let things cool down then it shuts off automatically?

yeah thast generally the idea. It's convenient for daily drivers so you don't have to sit in your car and let it idle for 45-60 seconds every time you stop. I think it lets the oil settle so you don't wear out your turbo's seals by letting hot oil sit in there.
