SAFC stands for Super Air Fuel Controller. It adjusts the amount of fuel your car is putting out. You want the fuel to be a perfect ratio to the air coming in. If by basic motor parts, you mean stock motor parts, you have absolutely no need for this. Your stock ECU already has your air/fuel ratio set at about perfect. If you install the SAFC, you will just end up running rich (too much fuel) and mess up your sensors and catalytic converter, and waste a bunch of gas because since you don't have alot of extra air coming in, you dont need alot of extra fuel to be put out. If by basic motor parts, you mean AFTERMARKET parts (Intake, header, ehxaust), you might have some use for it. If you have an Ebay intake, you really dont need it. But if you have a cold air intake, port/polished throttle body and intake manifold, you MIGHT need it, but thats a big might. You really need it once you turbo your car or something along those lines. Specify what parts you have (if any at all), and then we could help you out more.

lol that is true. If you wanna spend $275 for an absolutely useless ECU computer, go ahead, becaues yeah, the dash will looks dope. Especially if you get a Neo. I mean i guess if you hook it up and set it to OEM fuel out-put you won't be hurting nothing except your wallet. But man if you got that much money to blow, why not get a sweet 3 foot aluminum airplane wing?

haha ya sry about that... i have sri, cat-back exhaust, pullies, spark plugs, grounding system and im going to switch to a injen cai soon.
also after that im seriously considering forged pistons and nos (i need to buy some koni shocks first though )
but u think w/wat i have now on engine, which isnt much, will help at all or if it does then does it help enough for it to be worth the buy?
or do u think getting a chip maybe better?
