I have a 91 civic that i race on an oval track. It has a 1.6 zc motor with a pm4 ecu. It hits the rev limiter before i get have way down the straight. wrong ecu? i was told it was. then i put in a pm6, but at ideal it reves up and down and there is no mid range throttle. once i touch the gas a little it just revs to the limit. Its im posible to run around on pace laps with it , but in the race it not an issue but it was hiting the rev limiter still ( better then the pm4) after 10 laps it stoped hiting the limiter then after 16 laps it slowly started hitting again. i have a pm5 as well but have not tried it yet.

Any thoughts cause i need help.

Im not sure, is there a way to tell? i tried a pm5 in it today and all it did was cough sputter and miss. the ecu thats in it now is a pg4 not a pm4 ( my bad) i had to change the coil today to get it to even start.

 

oh and its a SOHC
