RE: wax and diamond gloss question
Never heard of Diamond Gloss until now. However, I read on their web site that it is not to be used on any car paint older than 2 years. This makes me worry as it seems to imply negative potential from that statement. Since it can't be expected for use long term, I wouldn't waste my time with it now. There are plenty of waxes that will protect your car's surface for years to come. There could be many reasons why your car has lost it's shine. Car wash brush, improper drying techniques, dirty towels, swirls or scratches. More than likely the Diamond gloss filled in your swirls and scratches. Once this wears off, all those defects come back to haunt you. There are many possiblities for loss of shine. I would suggest trying some wax from Meguiars, 3M, Mothers, Pinnacle, Zaino etc. I hate to recommend just one because people's preference, car color, and paint conditions vary greatly. Whenever your paint looks dull it needs some sort of attention whether it be compound, polishing, or waxing. And from reading their site, I would avoid Diamond gloss like the plauge. Best of luck getting your ride back to a pristine shine.
