Meg's 3 Step System
Ok, i got to use Meguires 3 step system last Saturday. I am actually really pleased with the results.
The first step removed a ton of dirt from the paint that i never even seen. I mean the pads were filty, yeah they were black! it took like 4 pads for the first step but it was well woth it.
The second step was kinda weird cause you are not supposed to let it dry. It seemed to do a good job, but really hard to notice cause my car was in a not so well lit garage.
The third step was magic. It just completed the whole look. It brought out a deep shine to the paint.
i would highly recomend this system to anyone else. my car looked show room good. The only other thing i would like to add is i did this on a really really really humid day and cant believe how well it worked in those conditions. I think it will work even better under normal waxing conditions.
BTW: it rained last night and my car is still sparkeling like a gem! My car is sliver.

I used the lil round clothis pads and the tshirt like cloth to wipe it off. next time i think i will use a foam aplicator pad and see how that works out. Oh yeah, i did all 3 coats by hand!

But, I would suggest investing in some mircrofiber towels opposed to the t-shirt. Reason being, t-shirts have no nap or depth in their pile. This runs a very high risk of getting particles between your car and the towel with nowhere for the debris to go. A good microfiber has a nap where if debri gets stuck, it will sink into the pile instead of into your paint. (scratches) like you mentioned, foam applicators would be a good move. They apply so much easier than terry applicators, spread a more even amount of product, and last a lot longer without getting clogged up. Also, check out Autopia.com if you're really interested in making your car shine like new money. Later...

RE: Meg's 3 Step System
Just wanted to make a note:
I washed my car last week and it still sparkeled just like after i had waxed it! There is still a good coat of wax on there, water beads up real nice, and one thing that really suprised me is i noticed my car was startin to collect a lot of dust, but it rained and the rain actually rinced the car off and didnt leave any of the normal rain BS on my car. Its gunna rain here again in a day or two, so i am gunna wash and wax it again and post pics of the results!
I highly highly recommend getting this. You get a Popeye arm and a beautiful shine on your car!
