First off... you know the unwritten rule...
New paint these days cures within 48 hours. The paint chemicals are pretty awesome. They say wait 30 days for the paint to "cure" before waxing, but if the paint is that new, you shouldn't NEED to clay bar it. If you really wanna go through that trouble though, you're probably good to go.

clay will not fix the fact that you can see the bodywork in the paint

to get all the sheet metal, as clean as it can be, before a wax.
ya, i know that, just tryin to protect the paint. even if its bad.
i shouldnt even say bad, it was a decent job. anyone know about this. i bought a can of touch-up paint a year ago. guy said something about honda must have been experimenting with candy colors?

It's brand new paint, shouldn't have any contaminants in it.
People use the **** out of claybar like it's supposed to be a part of the detailing process. Reality is, that you really only need to do it MAYBE twice a year.
