^^ Yep, at car shows and that's about it... Manufacturers do not put out mirror finishes.I know Bentley doesand a few otherexotics (completely flat like glass) but99% do not. I've seen some Ford products that come out pretty bad but most are nothing really to complain about.

in fact its preferable that you dont really even touch it for 4 to 6 weeks, and if you wash it use a very gentle stream of water, dont break out the high pressure hose, the reason is that after a car is painted thereare still chemicals left inside the paint job and if they do not evaporate correctly they can cause abnormalities in the finish, and to answer your initial question NO!!!!! do not let anyone touch it with a buffer for at least 2-3 months, it will not need it, the paint shop will wet sand and buff the paint after they paint it, and if for some reason it does need to be buffed take it back to the paint shop and let them do it, this is because most shops put a warranty on their product, if you have someone other than that shop buff it they might void the warranty, just make sure that after 2 to 3 months you put a nice thin coat of wax on it to seal the clearcoat and protect it from fallout aka acid rain and other stuff that can harm your paint
