Default My first decent wheel chop...well kinda(Big Pix)

I've started toying around with photoshop again and wanted to see what my car would look like with some different color schemes on the wheels. Its not really a wheel chop, I guess its just a wheel color change. its far from perfect but I think its pretty good being that I've never done anything but draw crappy anime in PS

Here is the pic I started with

Here it is with black spokes and a red lip

And here it is with black spokes and a color matched lip

I was thinking about getting some used wheels to throw on at the track/dyno if and when I ever get a decent amount of power to the ground and having them painted/anodized. Any opinions?

Not bad at all man! It's still a wheel chop.

Not sure I'm digging the red. Contrasts too much with your Paint. I think I actually like them the way they are right now the most. Wait so explain again why you need beater rims and then you're going to fix them up? Not following.

Well, not really beater rims, just a set to have some track tires on. I dont want to do it until I can find an engine and build/turbo it. I'm actually going to 'bama next week to grab a z6...anyhow. its not going to be soon if at all, mainly just me e-modding again. I guess I'm starting to fall for that odd wheel color fad thats jammed up every honda-tech jdm fanboy's ***

Thanks, it wasnt hard, just time consuming. I just copied the wheel to a new page and erased everything i didnt want to color, then i dragged the lip and put it on my door and played with the hues until the colors blended together pretty well, then just put it over the polished lip and merged the layers down[8D] I made sure to copy down my numbers just in case I decide to color match some different wheels
