Default Circle Track Racers?

With the growing popularity of the Hornet and Mini Stock/Sport Compact around the country, I've been thinking there should be a community set up for Honda & Acura folks to help them set up their cars for their tracks, as well as tips and tricks to helping them go faster.

Our local track has well over 30 cars entered every race in their Hornet class, and several people are taking a leap and building FWD Mini Stock/Sport Compact cars (myself and a couple of friends included).

Any luck with this forum starting up a section dedicated just for those racers, or does anyone know of a forum where these types of things are discussed openly?

Thanks for your time!

Usually the speedway website will have forums for all the classes that run there. I was active on our forum for a while until I became disgusted by all the school-yard politics and bitching. I wasn't the only one to leave. When I've talked about this to other drivers around the country, they always say the same thing. The drama in the pits spills over onto the forum and it gets ugly. Visiting fans looking for insight from the drivers and crews get a nasty surprise when they find adult race car drivers acting like whiney gradeschoolers. This is what brought me to the civic forum, to get away from that nonsense. I posted some vids and hoped for a discussion to start among other drivers or to offer advice on helping people get started. Unfortunately, the best places for advice like that are the speedway forums. We may have to just start our own, dude.

That's who I came to the civic forums, too. But there is no dedicated sections for circle track people to help one another. Its a shame. I raced a full season and fought like hell to learn all I could, and I'd love to share what I learned to help others to help shorten their learning curves.

Here are some videos of my racing:

And here is a fund raiser I have to help my next season!

Good job, Donovan. Don't you just hate it when you're about to pounce and the the yellow comes out?
